Parlour Body

The parlour body is small in size and as a result is one of the most comfortable to play. Unlike some dreadnoughts and jumbos, you can play a parlour acoustic for hours on end without the body ever causing discomfort. Parlours also make great travel guitars thanks to their compact size. Most important, however, is the sound. With a parlour, size doesn't come at the expense of tone. Parlour guitars have less volume but a softer, warm, and sweet tone that you don't get on a larger-bodied guitars. Parlours can handle strumming well, especially if you're just playing at home, but really come alive when played fingerstyle for blues and folk styles.

The body shape is complemented by the tonewoods - the solid mahogany back and sides provide a rich warmth and punch, while the solid Sitka spruce top has a clear and balanced sound.
