Product Description

The EastCoast L1 is the perfect starter instrument for the complete rock musician. This legendary-shaped guitar is known as one of the most versatile instruments ever created. Perfect for a guitarist who is up for playing anything and everything.

Sound

The L1 has two humbucker pickups - the parts of the guitar that take the sound of the strings and directs it into an amp. These produce a gritty, warm tone suited to playing both rhythm and lead guitar.

The four dials on the right-hand side of the body let you change the tone and volume. You can experiment away with the sound and never get bored of picking it up to play.

You can get right up the neck for screaming high notes thanks to 22 frets. These are the thin metal bars across the fingerboard. The more you have, the more notes you can play. That's why the L1 is brilliant for either soulful solos or chugging low notes.

Looks

Almost every famous guitarist has owned a single-cutaway guitar like the L1. The classic shape is compact enough to play standing or seated, while the cut in the body of the guitar allows your left hand to reach the highest frets comfortably.

This model features gold hardware which gives the pickups, bridge, tailpiece and tuners a classy appearance.

Good instrument for the money. Tuners not the best but good enough. Frets a little sharp after the 14th or so but nothing major.

This guitar screams rock and roll, it's a backup for my main Les Paul and honestly it sings just as good any single cut I've ever played!

It's my first ever guitar and I don't have much of an ear for quality but it both looks and sound great, feels nice and durable and I've been having a great time. There were plenty of options at this price point but I knew from the video on the listing that this would work for me and I was really swung by how it looks, I love it! And it's received compliments from people who know their stuff better than I do too.

Cannot rate this guitar highly enough. My daughter bought it with her Christmas money, she's a beginner and wanted her own guitar. I remember my first guitar which was a Satellite bought over 30 years ago, and that was a beginners guitar. This is not, even although it is priced as one. I'd happily play the EastCoast myself, it plays almost as nicely as my Les Paul Standard. Action and intonation were great, straight out of the box. It is easy to play without splitting your fingertips (unlike my old Satellite), it looks much more expensive than it is, and the sound from it really is quite incredible for the price. I was expecting it to be quite good from watching the Andertons review of it, it seriously exceeded expectations. I really cannot believe we got a guitar of this quality for the price.
