The Erebus is Dreadbox's flagship desktop synthesizer. With the V3, they've stepped it up a notch in just about every aspect of its design. This kickass analog synth now has more features, a more advanced interface, and a more compact enclosure - how do they do it?
More is More
When we say every aspect of its design, we mean it. Two oscillators has become three; a 33% increase in your noise-making capacity is quite a big deal. Sculpt detuned leads, rich analog drones, pulsating sequences with more depth than ever before.
Next up, a triple ring modulator and white noise generator elevate your synth tones to new levels of chaos. Whether you're looking for creepy ambience, punchy atonal rhythms or anything in between, the Erebus is armed and ready. Finally a 2nd ADSR envelope generator and high pass mode give you even more control over the shape of your sound. These features put the Erebus among some of the most capable yet intuitive desktop synths on the market.
The interface has been re-worked with ease of use in mind. There's more space between controls, everything's clearly labelled. The patch bay has also been expanded, now with a mighty 35 connections at your disposal. This makes the V3 a powerful addition to any modular or Eurorack setup.
Miraculously, Dreadbox have managed to expand the functionality of the V3 while shrinking its enclosure. It's a tad wider, but they've shrunk the depth slightly. This means it fits more neatly in the midst of your setup - and it'll fit neatly in your rucksack.
