Born in NYC’s Little Italy, D’Angelico is widely regarded as one of the finest archtop guitar manufacturers of the 20th century. Nowadays, they make guitars of all shapes and sizes; all built with the same exceptional detail, mastery and flair that put them on the map.
The Style B is a classic big-body archtop that’s based on an original 1936 design by John D’Angelico itself. With a comfortable slim neck profile, distinct headstock design (even for D’Angelico!) and a floating mini-humbucker, the Style B offer timeless jazz box vibes with a dash of luxury.
Body & Neck
The Excel Style B’s broad, curved body employs a Flame Maple construction with a laminate Spruce top. This provides plenty of top-end clarity to counter the hollow-body warmth, with plenty of acoustic-esque resonance for good measure.
The 3-piece neck employs a strip of Walnut sandwiched between solid Maple, with a Rosewood fretboard to boot. This adds both extra top-end brightness and a smooth attack to the woolly humbucker sound, great for bringing out your jazz leads and rhythmic comping.
Hardware & Electronics
A single Kent Armstrong floating mini-humbucker sits in the neck position, just like the archtop designs of old. This classic-style pickup ensures a warm, dynamic response that perfectly complements the tonewood combination.
As with many of D’Angelico’s modern hollow offerings, the Style B is generously adorned with gold hardware and 5-ply binding, top to bottom. Grover Super Rotomatic tuners, skyscraper truss rod cover and the classic Stairstep tailpiece all ooze art-deco swagger.

How do I use instant finance?
It's simple! Just add the products you want to your basket and click the "Checkout" button in your basket. Go through the checkout process and tick the "Finance" option under "Select Your Payment Method". You can then choose which finance term you'd like to apply for, and change your deposit if you wish.
At the end of the checkout you'll be taken to the V12 Finance web site. This is where your finance application is processed. Assuming your application is accepted you'll be able to place your deposit and confirm your order right there.
