Product Description

Chase Bliss Audio aren't ones for simplifying guitar effects; their pedals boast a wealth of parameters and different tonal-warping options, all controlled by a comprehensive interface to ensure that you can get as much out of them as possible. We're pleased to say that the Thermae is no different!

The incredibly unique Thermae combines analogue delay and pitch-shifting to deliver mind-blowing soundscaping capabilities that'll never cease to amaze! The word 'Thermae' means warm bath in Latin, and that's exactly what this super-cool stompbox aims to do: bathe your tone in warm ambience!

First up, it works brilliantly as a standalone delay pedal. Whether you're looking for a snappy slapback or drenched swirling space, you've got a number of switches that allow you to tweak the time, level and modulation of your ambience.

Secondly, the pitch effects can be applied to your delayed signals in a near-infinite combination of ways. The dip-switch on the top of the pedal allows you to activate a whole host of different types of pitch and modulation effects to find your perfect combination. You've got two controls that change the intervals of pitch shifts, as well as sequence and step modes, allowing you to automatically or manually apply multiple pitch options to your delayed signal. Combine this with the numerous delay settings, and you'll never stop discovering new ways to use this incredible pedal!

In normal delay mode, the pitch shift options are converted to affect modulation of your delayed signal, so you've got access to plenty of old-school, drunk-sounding tape-style delays!

It's worth noting that despite the wealth of tweaking options at your disposal, your guitar's signal remains 100% analogue - truly transparent sound makes the perfect platform for this kind of mind-bending effect!

Here's what Chase Bliss Audio have to say about the Thermae:

Thermae represents a radically new approach to analog delay and harmonization. The pedal digitally manipulates the analog signal path created by 4 re-issued versions of the legendary MN3005 bucket-brigade delay chips. This creates the ability to change delay time in musically interesting intervals which allows for innumerable options for harmonizing and other sonic madness. These intervals can be sequenced through automatically or triggered manually for ultimate usability in a musical context. Thermae can also be used as a more standard analog delay with unprecedented analog modulation options. Every knob and switch is connected to a little digital brain while your guitar signal stays 100% analog and never gets digitally processed.
