The Tonal Recall pedal from Chase Bliss is a true modern classic. A powerful analogue delay with a raft of features, including the benefits of modern digital manipulation, the Tonal Recall is a hugely versatile delay pedal that incorporates all of Chase Bliss’ renowned innovation.
The new “Red Knob” Tonal Recall maintains all the things we love about the original, with a few changes and updates to satisfy the experimentalists who want something extra!
The MN3005 Bucket Brigade chips are some of the cleanest-sounding, most versatile delay chips available. Also featured in the “Blue Knob” version, these chips deliver a strong, bright attack with a supremely crisp, high-quality fidelity.
The “Red Knob” version now features four of these desirable chips, meaning you get DOUBLE the amount of available delay time – up to 1100ms! What else does this mean? You also get more repeats before breakup, as well as a more musical oscillation and warble to turn your guitar lines into dreamy bliss.
The use of extra chips also means that you have the ability to achieve even brighter delay sounds, so if you want to emulate those classic 80’s “Edge” sounds, this pedal can nail that and much more. The use of 4 chips also offers more noise, so if you like to get experimental and possess those old-school tape-delay tones, this can handle it no problem!
So Many Controls!
One of the things that Chase Bliss Audio does to nearly all of their gear is use real all analogue tone circuits with a digital brain. This brain is nowhere near the tone circuit but gives you extra control over every possible part of the pedal without it having to be as wide as your pedalboard.
That is how they have managed to put 16 little dip switches on the back of the pedal so you can craft this pedal to be as vintage-inspired or as absolutely crazy and modern as you want.
