As the name might suggest, the beautiful OM37 is Atkin Guitars’ Orchestra Model. Boasting a compact body with pronounced curves, it offers a surprisingly bold sound that could be considered the perfect all-rounder.

Atkin OM37 Orchestra Model Acoustic Guitar

Premium OM Design

The Orchestra Model shape is more compact than the classic Dreadnought or Jumbo design. The challenge for luthiers is to be able to produce an OM guitar that still offers a rich, responsive sound. Atkin Guitars have taken steps to ensure that this is indeed the case.

Carefully selected torrified Sitka Spruce is used for the top. Combined with their hand-scalloped bracing, it resonates with a charming, full-bodied sound that has to be heard to be believed. CITES-certified Indian Rosewood back & sides add extra warmth and tightness to the sound, making the OM37 perfect for folk & fingerstyle players.

Finish & Electronics Options

Atkin offer two types of finish for all of their guitars: aged and mirror finish. Both are nitrocellulose, but as the name suggests, the former has been painstakingly aged for that vintage vibe. It's also worth noting that while none of the Atkins come with built-in electronics, we'll happily fit some for you. The recommended systems are as follows:

Handmade in Britain

Based in Canterbury, UK, Atkin Guitars proudly offer a range of stunning hand-built acoustic guitars. Their highly-acclaimed instruments are widely considered some of the best on the market, and come with a certificate of authenticity and a lifetime warranty.

Founded in 1995 by Alister Atkin, the aim of the game is uncompromising tone. While all of Atkin’s instruments are handmade, they aren’t afraid to experiment with modern technology. This combination of traditional luthiery and an open-minded approach yields the same results time after time; the ultimate acoustic guitar experience.

As well as their core line, Atkin offer custom builds and are happy to take requests. If you've got any questions about tweaks to your Atkin acoustic, please get in touch with us.
