Inspired by what is arguably the most popular acoustic guitar of all time, the Atkin Forty-Three is a luxurious instrument through and through. Alluring looks, sumptuous tones – what more could you want?

Atkin Forty Three Slope-Shouldered Acoustic Guitar

Premium Slope Shouldered Design

The Forty-Three is a lovingly crafted tribute to the classic Gibson J-45. Atkin Guitars worked with the Buddy Holly Foundation to recreate his prized 1943 J-45 – the project was so successful, they decided to make it a part of their core range.

The Forty-Three delivers on all fronts. Its powerful but direct sound is incredibly responsive, bringing out every nuance in your playing. The classic Sitka Spruce & Mahogany combo ensure rich harmonics and a focused yet dynamic tone. Finished with aged nitrocellulose and that vintage sunburst, the Forty-Three is truly irresistible.

Finish & Electronics Options

Atkin offer two types of finish for all of their guitars: aged and mirror finish. Both are nitrocellulose, but as the name suggests, the former has been painstakingly aged for that vintage vibe. It's also worth noting that while none of the Atkins come with built-in electronics, we'll happily fit some for you. The recommended systems are as follows:

Handmade in Britain

Based in Canterbury, UK, Atkin Guitars proudly offer a range of stunning hand-built acoustic guitars. Their highly-acclaimed instruments are widely considered some of the best on the market, and come with a certificate of authenticity and a lifetime warranty.

Founded in 1995 by Alister Atkin, the aim of the game is uncompromising tone. While all of Atkin’s instruments are handmade, they aren’t afraid to experiment with modern technology. This combination of traditional luthiery and an open-minded approach yields the same results time after time; the ultimate acoustic guitar experience.

As well as their core line, Atkin offer custom builds and are happy to take requests. If you've got any questions about tweaks to your Atkin acoustic, please get in touch with us.
