Iconic Backbone

The MPC Studio features the same (and now iconic) grid of 16 full-size velocity, pressure sensitive RGB pads present on their other models. This engineering and layout allows for extra nuance and dynamics within your beats - letting you generate everything from earth-shaking kick drums, to more delicate melodies.

You'll be navigating through your MPC using the crisp colour display. It provides instant visual feedback, even while you're fully immersed in a session. Use it to quickly browse samples, instruments, and plugin presets, slice waveforms and change parameters in real-time.

New Advanced Touch Strip

A brand new assignable touch strip has been incorporated for even more expression and control over your sounds. Morphing and moulding audio has never been so fluid and fun; add a snare roll with note repeat; build atmosphere with synth swells; alter real-time effects and more.

You can even assign settings, sliders and knobs to be controlled via the Touch Strip - ensuring even more creative options for both live performances and production.

More Effects & Plugins

Harness 100+ instrument and effects plugins, alongside a deep suite of drum samples, loops, instruments, sounds and more to build tracks to suit your preferred style. Insert effects plugins offer versatile arranging, mixing and editing tools powered by highly respected AIR Music Tech.

MPC2 Software

You'll be using all of the above together with the intuitive MPC2 Software. But what is MPC2? It's an all-in-one DAW and beat-making suite packed full of possibilities.

With 128-track sequencing, enhanced MIDI editing, VST compatibility, real-time stretching and a treasure trove of insert effects, dedicated vocal recording and production plugins and plugin instruments, there's plenty more sonic tools available here to add to your arsenal.

The Akai MPC Studio is a great controller for the included MPC 2 software. I'm still learning how to use it but there are some very good instructional videos on Youtube including Akai's own masterclass. I've never owned an MPC controller before but this is great fun at a very reasonable price.

Great machine. A lot to play with and learn. Great quality sounds and the pads are great. Rivals other brands without but not as disappointing. Workflow takes time to learn

Ridiculously good value. The hardware and software combo works great. I love the workflow and I like being able to unplug and continue just on my laptop. The included sounds are great and the available extra sounds and instruments provide endless possibilities. Highly recommended.
