Product Description

The Boss RC-300 takes the reins as the flagship Loop Station in the Boss range. It features up to 3 hours recording time which is more than enough to create dynamic live performances, or store loops and jams to play along to for rehearsal at home.

The RC-300 is in effect three separate loop pedals in one! That means you can do more complex and varied arrangements than ever before, and because all three loopers are tempo synced to one another, your loop will never go out of time.

For Guitar and Vocals

Want to loop vocals?  No problem! The RC-300 features XLR inputs with phantom power for condenser mics in addition to the built in stereo jacks. Plus, with 16 different built in effects, you can manipulate your looped sounds to further enhance your creativity when using the RC-300.

Looping will never be the same again. The Boss RC-300 challenges you to take looper performances to the next level and create even more mind-boggling loops than you ever could before.

Key Features

  • Three stereo tracks with dedicated footswitches and controls for each
  • Dedicated fader per track
  • Expression pedal for effects control in real time
  • Up to three hours of internal recording and 99 onboard memories
  • 16 onboard effects optimized for looping
  • XLR Microphone input with phantom power
  • USB storage; import/export WAV files

Here's what Boss say about the RC-300 Loop Station:

Create, stack, and manipulate multi-layered loops with the RC-300’s three stereo tracks — each track being independently controllable. The “Auto Recording” feature starts recording the moment you begin playing your instrument, or as soon as you start a connected audio player.

Count-In mode gives you one-bar of rhythm before recording starts. You can Undo/Redo as you go. The sky’s the limit with three hours of recording time!

Expanded Pedalboard

The RC-300’s ultra-wide pedalboard is equipped with an Expression pedal (which can be assigned to a variety of parameters) and enlarged footswitches for controlling REC/PLAY and STOP for each track. There’s also a master ALL START/STOP footswitch onboard.

Additionally, three independent faders provide immediate control of each track’s output volume. And if that’s not enough control under your hands and feet, you can also connect external Expression pedals and footswitches (sold separately).

Onboard FX

Process your tracks and external-input signals with the RC-300’s expressive onboard effects, including Transpose, Flanger, Phaser, Modulator, vocal effects, and more. A dedicated LOOP FX footswitch is provided for instant activation of the onboard effects.

Control the effects parameters in real time with the Expression pedal for hands-free creativity onstage. You can apply the effects to any single track as well as to the entire mix, expanding your creativity and musical expression.

Perfect service and very helpful

Mr Julian Smith14th Dec 2021

It's a complicated piece of kit but easy enough to get started on but has layers of complexity under the surface which may take a while to master to get the maximum out of it. I was expecting something smaller but it's quite big and has a solid steel body - so it's a very substantial thing - which I like. I use it at home but it would be good for stage use as I can't see it going anywhere however much you stomp on it! For simple looping you can more-or-less plug in and get going. Bear in mind that this model came out about about 5 years ago, but it's still very good - some might seek more recent technology although I can't imagine many functions that could be added. Best download a user handbook before you buy to see what I mean. You can control all manner of variables on each loop - it may take me a while to get my head round the more arcane aspects, but I had no problem with getting into it and my first recordings were made very soon after setup. My only gripe so far is the colour of the 'dashboard' - it's pink, which has a low contrast ratio with the white lettering and I need a light on it - well, I am 70 so I have an excuse!

I've given it a test drive. It's actually a replacement for one I bought elsewhere that was faulty. It's okay so far but the complex issues I uncovered with the other one I have not had time to attempt to reproduce. In general the RC300 is the best looping station money can buy. It has limitations but there's a dozen youtube channels dealing with that. My recommendation for tips and tuts is Ben Rowlands.

Wide range of options, everything is programmable to your liking and it's just nice to get a 3 in 1 loop pedal. Easy to use and fun to play with ! The only con is the size, I don't see it as a pedal but as a device that you place next to your pedalboard. On the pros side, the functionalities, the 3 tracks, the volume pedal, the versatility of the switches since everything is remappable to your taste and the number of input/output options. For this price, it's a really nice package.

I’ve had the RC 30 for years and wanted to add more loops to my set and to run through my Akai force. Well worth the investment

Not using it to its full potential, but for my home recording / jamming i find it great. Distortion FX I find pretty impossible to play with, as it is awful - using amp or separate pedal instead - but apart from that happy with it 99% :)
