This pedal does everything I want from it and is simple to use. It also has a very no frills easy to use computer editor for uploading IR Files, Perfect. The Boss build quality is also really nice.

Such a great bit of kit. Has that annoying Roland drive tones though, but clean twin model is superb. Reverbs are wonderful. Haven’t used the IR loader yet, but I’m sure the drive tones can be improved

This is one of the best bits of kit I have purchased for my guitars. I can get lovely warm and natural sounding amp tones with acoustic or electric guitars using my beloved effects pedals and then going straight into the p. a. Headphone option makes this a no-brainer for anyone who wishes to play quietly but in real style. I'm less bothered about the higher gain tones but that's fine as you can easily dial things down. I got the hang of basic tweaking and saving patches more easily than I expected. Tons of room for switching virtual speakers and tweaking tones to suit different guitars. I just love the IR 200!!!

I'm not that experienced with IRs and modeling stuff. After spending some time with tweaking knobs and trying and loading different IRs I was able to get sounds which seem to be 1. usable and 2. close enough to the real stuff (at least my perception, I don't have all the real amps with all the cabs, neither the experience). Gainy factory presets are quite shrill to my ears but so far I was able to dial in (+load IRs - that's quite important obviously) the sounds I like. Preset "Natural 1" seems like a great clean sound to me and a very useful pedal platform, just this one alone... I'm using the unit with HeadRush FRFR 112 which (after dialing down bass on IR-200) sounds close enough to what I hear via headphones and studio monitors, that's my target actually - being able to prepare my tones at home (with the pedals I love) and use them with band. Ultimate test, sound-wise, will be a long-term use with a band but that's yet to come.. I don't have expectations it should sound identical to real valve amps and from my brief test in rehearsal room, I've yet to find how to make this new setup sound a bit more "organic".

I am new to playing guitar, so bought this to get more flexibility with tone and didn’t have the space for a variety of Amps and Cabs. So far so good, the user experience is great, it is very easy to configure and sounds great. I am learning to tweak the settings to my own tastes as I use it more, and I am very happy with my choice.
