Product Description

B&G guitars ooze class with their vintage styling and first-grade tonewoods. The company's flagship model, the Little Sister, is essentially a modern reinterpretation of the iconic pre-war acoustic; offering the exquisite comfort and spellbinding tones of those mythical, early 20th Century guitars.

The Little Sister's tasteful 14th-fret neck joint and and slotted headstock design pay homage to this historic formula, while contemporary electronics give today's generation all of the practicality they could ever need. This uniquely-proportioned and exotic-looking instrument is sure to appeal to musicians looking for something a little bit different!

B&G Crossroads Series

B&G splits its guitar manufacturing between Israel and the Far East. The brand's 'Private Build' models are crafted in Tel Aviv, while their 'Crossroads' instruments are built in China and feature Korean electronics. B&G's Crossroads series guitars promise almost the same levels of feel, tone and finesse offered by their handmade Private Build models, but are just a fraction of the cost.

There are some subtle differences of course, but with any Crossroads guitar - you're still getting an exemplary instrument that will stand the test of time. In fact, B&G's Israeli luthiers have travelled several times to their Chinese factory and personally trained the builders there - to ensure that every detail of the product meets or exceeds their expectations. In B&G's own words: "Great lutherie is not really about the country of manufacture, as some people seem to get hung up about. It is about building techniques, economic scale, and raw materials."

First-Class Construction

B&G's Private Build instruments are constructed using traditional methods, in order to capture the magic of vintage electric guitars made in the '50s - otherwise known as the "Golden Era". These older techniques are not suitable for mass production, but B&G has gone above and beyond to make sure that its Asian-made variant of the Little Sister is the best that it can be at its alluring price-point - by using only the best modern building techniques possible.

High-quality materials are employed throughout, with an African/Indonesian Mahogany body and neck, Mexican Royal Ebony (Katalox) fingerboard and a solid Figured Maple top. In order to keep the woods alive and resonant, B&G chose the thinnest modern finish available (UV) and even chambered the Little Sister's body for an organic, acoustic-like response that's resistant to feedback. Factory-made solid brass hardware made it feasible to maintain the familiar look and pristine tonal qualities of the original Little Sister too.

Proprietary Humbucking Pickups

B&G also puts tremendous effort into voicing its pickups - achieving a very careful balance between clarity and warmth, with sustain and overtones to spare. The pickups fitted in the Crossroads Little Sister models are wound to B&G's stringent specifications, and guarantee that the electric tone will blossom from the acoustic timbre - with great openness, unique touch sensitivity and wide dynamics.

This particular version of the Little Sister comes equipped with a pair of proprietary B&G humbuckers. Thick lows, potent mids and smooth highs make these versatile pickups balanced all-rounders, with their medium outputs allowing for highly-expressive sounds rich in harmonic content.
