Product Description

First introduced in 1960, the Fender Jazz Bass, or J-Bass for short, is a true legend of the guitar world. The Jazz Bass' iconic offset body and narrow, rounded neck made it a popular choice for jazz musicians and was originally intended to appeal to upright double bass players. With two single coil pickups, the Jazz Bass became popular for its punchy, articulate tone with a playability unlike any other electric bass at the time.

The Fender Custom Shop 75 Jazz Bass is a faithful recreation of a mid 70s model, from a transitional period in Fender's history. The Black Over Aged 3 Tone Sunburst heavy relic finish simulates decades of wear and tear and feels comfortably "worn in".

Construction

The 75 Jazz Bass features a two-piece Ash body giving it a bright, pronounced tone with a healthy amount of sustain. The flat sawn Maple neck is held in place with a period correct 3-bolt neck plate and gives the 75 Jazz Bass a snappy, articulate tone with a fast response. Whether you're playing finger style or slap, the 75 Jazz Bass will ensure you cut through the mix with ease.

Hand Wound Custom Shop Pickups

At the heart of the 75 Jazz Bass is a pair of hand wound Custom Shop Jazz Bass single coil pickups, which deliver a clear, articulate tone with plenty of "snap". This makes the 75 Jazz Bass incredibly versatile and capable of delivering vintage inspired tones for a variety of playing styles from fingerstyle to slap. The "75" features a volume control for each pickup and a master tone control giving you plenty of flexibility in shaping your sound.
