Dreadnought Body Shape

A Dreadnought acoustic has a large body that produces a lot of volume and depth to its sound. This is one of the most popular acoustic types. They’re favoured by blues, country, folk and rock musicians after a warm, natural sound. The addition of a cutaway makes it easier to access the neck - a little more familiar and easy to get to grips with.

Construction

The type of wood an acoustic guitar is made from significantly alters the sound it produces. Sapele is a common, yet distinctive tonewood often used to make the body of an acoustic guitar because of its versatility. A Spruce top adds clarity and colour to the sound of the guitar. The satin finish will protect it against bumps and scrapes and give it a raw, earthy look.

Simply put, it's a remarkably well crafted guitar that gives many other more expensive models from other brands a good run for their money in terms of sound quality and bodywork finish.

As a starter pack for an electro acoustic, this is really good value. The amp in particular I was pleasantly surprised with, and with the Bluetooth facility you can play along to your favourite tracks!

Love this gtr. For £150 you get something that records really well both acoustically ( if you use a decent mic) & through the inbuilt pick up. Actually I tried my SM57 & the pick up and got a great balance that with a bit of rq & lexicon had a fab sound! Tracked this sounds even better!!!!! The intonation is perfect right through the fretboard, and even though the neck is a little small for my scultpor's fingers, it plays beautifully. It's not a Martin or Gibson Dreadnaught of course but really for the price I love this little player!! Been using it loads since it arrived and I am really really happy. Thanks to Anderson's for the video reviews too.....In the absence of being able to go & try out an instrument due to the Pandemic, the videos really helped me decide.....

Absolutely stunning instrument for the price. I was expecting a simple practice guitar and I took a chance on East Coast as I was bored of the thin sound of most budget guitars. Once I opened this, I was incredibly impressed with the finishing and the attention to detail from a budget instrument. Then I played it. Honestly, I've never heard such a crisp and responsive sounding guitar in its price point. The solid top really sounds rich and sweet and reminds me of the sound of a Taylor. Yes, it really is that good. I play a mix of styles from fingerstyle to punk rock and it's handled everything I have thrown at it. My wife, who isn't a musician noticed an immediate difference in the sound quality from my other guitars and she actually sat and listened to me playing for the first time in a long while. East Coast, you have made an amazing guitar and I will rave about you to every musician I know.
