    Justin Guitar

Here's what YouTube guitar teacher JustinGuitar says about EastCoast Guitars

"Having played a lot of budget instruments in recent months, I can confidently say that the EastCoast guitars are by far the best bang for buck I've tried. They all had a "low action" (which means the strings are easier to press down) which is perfect for beginners and means less finger pain and a lot more fun!"

    Product Description

Looking to play the guitar? EastCoast should be the first name you check out. They make excellent, affordable instruments for beginners and casual players alike.

The D1S is an ultra-affordable Dreadnought acoustic - this big-bodied design offers great volume and projection, perfect for rock strumming. With this model, you'll get a Walnut construction with a solid Spruce top, unparalleled wood choices for the price. Add a smooth satin finish, and you've got a great sound and comfy feel for players of all abilities!

    Key Features

    • Big-bodied Dreadnought design for a rich tone
    • Solid Spruce & Walnut laminate construction for warm, classic sound

    Dreadnought Body Shape

A Dreadnought acoustic has a large body that produces a lot of volume and depth to its sound. This is one of the most popular acoustic types. They’re favoured by blues, country, folk and rock musicians after a warm, natural sound.

    Construction

The type of wood an acoustic guitar is made from significantly alters the sound it produces. Walnut offers a beautifully warm sound, often coming with a premium price tag. A solid Spruce top adds clarity and colour to the sound of the guitar. The satin finish will protect it against bumps and scrapes and give it a raw, earthy look.

I'm a beginner but it sounds better than previous guitars I've tried and seems to be perfect for what I need at the moment.

Looks are stunning , finished better than expected for the price, big sound . Still seeking better clarity on sound but I am not used to such a size so there;s some user error in there. Bought as a second acoustic to take outside ( festivals , parties etc) rather than bash my PRS. Cannot comment yet on durability - too soon.

The guitar itself is of decent quality for the price overall, although my particular example has two problems. The frets seem to not have been finished off. There is a horrible scratching sensation when bending a string. I also find the tuning heads bad quality. They do not feel accurate and some of them are already feeling like they slip. There was a label on the guitar which said quality control AAA, which is not the case with my guitar.

I've bought this as a gift for a nephew, just starting to play. I have it a quick play before packing it back up to give to him and now I want one myself.
