Jazz Bass

Fender's Jazz Bass was originally designed to have a more focused, modern sound compared to their already popular Precision Bass. The J-Bass is brighter with a punchier mid-range; giving it more cut in a mix compared to the darker Precision model. This change in sound was a huge part in the development of bass-driven music like funk, reggae, progressive rock, jazz fusion and many more styles.

While in the '60s you would be lucky to see more than one model of Jazz Bass at a time, there are now a plethora of different models from both Squier and Fender to fit any kind of budget. Looking for an affordable option? Squier have you covered! Designed by Fender, these bass guitars are the official entry way to the world of the Jazz Bass.
