With a clean bass amp you can easily add some grit by upping the level control quite high and leaving the saturation about 9 o'clock. The presence and Contour controls are there to fit your amp but for the smoothest of grit that will work great with most amps try the presence at around 9 o'clock and the contour around midday with the goal of getting the right kind of smooth to fit your bass.

To All Out Distortion

While plenty will think of bass distortion as only useful in all out metal it actually can fit in yo a lot of different styles when used properly. Cranking up the saturation past 12 o'clock will unleash hell on your bass tone with enough drive to fit in to any style. Then you can use the contour and presence control to fit the sound in to the mix.

The AGRO is based on the saturation channel of Aguilar's celebrated AG 500 bass head. Capable of producing everything from warm, tube-like overdrive to full on distortion, this pedal will give you the grind you need without sucking out your low end.

The AGRO offers a wealth of overdriven sounds within an easy to use, 4-knob layout. The Saturation control offers a tremendous range of distortion while the Contour control allows you to dial in a scooped or a more aggressive boosted midrange sound. The Presence knob adds the right amount of 'attack' ensuring that your bass remains defined even with the most saturated settings. The output level control guarantees that you'll be able to get the distortion you want at any volume level.
