The Gibson Les Paul 60's Traditional guitar is a stunning version of the 60's Les Paul with a few unique and modern twists that make it unlike any other Les Paul in recent years. By combing elements of 50's, 60's and more modern models together this guitar has a feel and tone which when combined can't really be found elsewhere today.

60's Design
The 1960's were an important time for the Les Paul as it saw the transition from the big and bulky neck of the 50's in to a much slimmer and faster shape while allowed for higher speed playing. It is this change that signifies the real difference between this guitar and earlier models.

Like the guitars in the 60's this guitar features a thick mahogany body topped with maple as well as a mahogany neck finished with a rosewood fretboard. This wood combination is what gave the Les Paul its signature sound back in the 60's and it still works to this day to deliver a warm and full tone.

One of the more modern touches that has been added on to this guitar is the idea of weight relief. Back in the day it was near impossible but now guitar like this have chunks taken out in non-vital areas to lower weight but keep the same overall sound and feel.

P90 Pickups
P90 and 60's are not something you see often together very often. This is because when Gibson introduced the humbucker in the late 50's they really lowered the amount of P90 pickups they were putting in Les Pauls. So by the time we were in the early 60's there were so few models with these pickups being produced.

Vintage Hardware
Just like the original 60's LP this guitar doesn't feature any kind of crazy modern hardware. No this guitar has simple but extremely solid parts that will keep the guitar feeling and sounding great for years to come.

With a very traditional stopbar tailpiece that has been used for nearly the entire life of the Les Paul and some classic green key style tuners not only does it look superb but it has the stability and feel of a premium guitar that has been around for a long time.

Professional Set Up
As part of the 2016 line this guitar has received a premium set up even before it has gone through our QC checks. This means that you can take this guitar out of the box on day one, go straight to your gig and rock up without any issues with the guitar at all.

No longer do you need to wait for a few days while you get your guitar. We all know that you want to get using a new guitar as soon as possible so Gibson have made sure you can do just that.
