Product Description

The Schecter V-1 is a pure metal machine, and one of the brand's most popular guitar designs. Joining the Apocalypse line, this V-1 boasts unique steampunk-style looks to make you stand out on stage!

Underneath the surface though, you'll discover that the Schecter V-1 Apocalypse sports a number of high-quality features. With US-made Apocalypse-VI humbuckers, a multi-ply neck, X-jumbo stainless steel frets and glow-in-the-dark side dot markers, this instrument will meet the demands of any modern metalhead.

Construction

The Schecter V-1 Apocalypse features a Swamp Ash body, which serves as an excellent tonal foundation for the powerful pickups. Ensuring a balanced sound with rich lows and sweet highs, this material is also lightweight, making the V-1 a brilliant performance workhorse.

The V-1's neck provides all of the potent note definition you'd expect from a metal-style instrument. Constructed from Maple and Padauk, this combination of woods adds plenty of mid-range and presence, so that heavy palm-muted riffs or searing solos have all of the attack you'd ever need.

It's multi-ply design adds strength too, which helps to prevent issues like warping. But if that doesn't sound like enough, Schecter has reinforced the neck with Carbon Fibre rods too!

Electronics & Hardware

A guitar of this calibre should never be let down by sub-par pickups, which is why Schecter has opted to fit the V-1 Apocalypse with its high-end US-made humbuckers. The Apocalypse-VI pickups have a gloriously strong voice, truly in their element when used with distortion or overdrive.

However, they aren't one-trick ponies either. That's because these particular humbuckers sound ultra-clear and precise with clean amp settings, especially when you engage the V-1's push-pull tone control.

In addition to the high-end pickups, the hardware on this guitar is top-tier as well. Schecter has installed the V-1 with its own set of locking tuners, ensuring super-easy string changes. In conjunction with the Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut, these hardware appointments guarantee better overall tuning stability.

At the other end of the instrument, you'll find a TonePros T3BT TOM bridge. Incredibly reliable and solid, this robust bridge will take years of playing abuse without breaking a sweat. Feeling smooth on the right hand, this bridge is also very easy to adjust when making setup changes.
