Product Description

Alvarez’s acoustic range is notoriously diverse, and features a raft of stunning guitars that emit the most glorious of tones. The CF6E is one such model, striking the perfect balance between old and new with its traditional flamenco design and LR Baggs electronics.

Construction

The body of the Alvarez CF6E is constructed from Cypress, a light tonewood that delivers a vibrant mid-range. Paired with a Mahogany neck, this offers a richer character that enhances the low-end, to give a balanced sound overall. Strengthened by a strip of Ebony that runs down its length, this will ensure that the neck won’t warp in varying climates.

The Alvarez CF6E’s body is adorned with a Solid A+ Sitka Spruce top, adding some essential top-end crispness. This means that aggressively-strummed chord progressions will have all of the clarity and articulation you’d need to express yourself.

Electronics

Fitted with an LR Baggs StagePro Element system, the Alvarez CF6E will offer an authentic tonality when plugged into a PA System or recording interface. Class-leaders in acoustic pickup technology, LR Baggs’ StagePro system will translate the acoustic voice of the CF6E very convincingly, capturing its full range.

Sporting a 3-band EQ section as well as a phase inversion switch, you can tailor the tone of this instrument to suit the acoustic qualities of any space. For example, if you’re playing in a particularly dark-sounding venue, just boost the treble and you’ll cut through effortlessly!

The Flamenco Design

Flamenco guitars are defined by their use of nylon strings and often smaller bodies than their steel-string counterparts. Their passionate, evocative sound is instantly recognisable, synonymous with sun, sangria and Spanish culture.

Combining modern manufacturing techniques with unique tonewood treatments, Alvarez flamenco instruments are truly world-class. Committed to uncompromising quality and simultaneous affordability, Alvarez travelled to Cádiz in Andalusia – the spiritual home of Flamenco music – to learn the instruments inside and out. The result is a range of nylon-string acoustics that are among the best on the market.

About Alvarez

Established in 1965 by major US instrument distributor St. Louis Music, Alvarez teamed up with master luthier Kazuo Yairi with the aim of producing the finest guitars in the world.

The success of Alvarez-Yairi guitars helped put the brand on the market, and are still handmade in Kani, Japan to this day. In the decades that followed, Alvarez significantly expanded their operation, and now produce one of the most extensive and diverse ranges of acoustic instruments in the world.

Ranging from affordable entry-level to world-class handmade instruments, Alvarez have got everything covered. Their instruments have been used by the likes of Johnny Cash, Paul McCartney, Carlos Santana, Ani DiFranco and many more – they’re obviously doing something right!
