Electronic drum kits have long been a divisive issue for drummers. While they provide plenty of versatility and praticality, their response is never quite like that of an acoustic kit. That's where this collaboration between Pearl and Korg comes in! 

The new eMERGE kit is the result of exhaustive research and a lengthy design process. Taking influence from the legendary Korg Wave Drum, they've produced an electronic kit that responds like an acoustic one, both in terms of sound and feel. Precise triggering, redesigned materials, and even a brand new sound library full to the brim with amazing drum sounds - they've thought of everything! 

PUREtouch Electronic Pad System

This has been extensively developed to deliver an accurate and responsive feel. The pads are made of six layers of material, resulting in an extremely authentic and comfortable playing experience. These heads are designed to vary in their response depending on where you hit them, even allowing adjustment to the tension - you can really make it your own! 

Wave Trigger Technology

Korg's famed Wave Drum delivered a new level of dynamics when it came to electronic drumming. They've incorporated that into the eMERGE kit - on every pad, to be specific. Expect every nuance of your style to be detected, ensuring that your performance is captured perfectly!

eMERGE MDL-1 Module

The innovation doesn't stop with the kit itself. For the module, Roland and Korg have rewritten the rulebook. Despite sporting a relatively intuitive interface, the MDL-1 module packs a real punch! 

You've got 700 high definition voices, 35 preset drum kits and 36 effects at your disposal. As well as taking sounds from Korg's renowned sample library, this module boasts a huge selection of brand new recordings, made especially for the eMERGE. These samples were recorded at the legendary Music City USA studios in Nashville; not only are they high quality, but they've got heaps of character and a stunning natural spaciousness to them. 

PUREtouch Electronic Cymbal Pack

The e/MERGE kit also includes a PUREtouch Electronic Cymbal pack. In keeping with the rest of the kit, the PUREtouch ride and crash cymbals offer a natural performance, with just the right amount of dampening thanks to their rubber lining. They also feature frequency-based zone blending, designed to respond to where you strike the cymbal. These really will respond like the real thing!
