The Taylor Baby series of guitars offer a great travel design and all feature a solid spruce top and come with a deluxe gig bag! This 15/16 Dreadnaught body has a surprisingly full tone and offers guitarists an affordable way into the Taylor range.
How do Taylor do this at this price? Part of the secret is in Bob Taylor's unique and clever bolt on neck design. Not only does this design make the neck joint more stable and less prone to developing a hump, but it also makes the guitars much quicker to build (thus keeping the price down). The tops on the guitars are all solid spruce and the back and sides are made of a compressed wood.
Bob Taylor is a clever chap and is always pushing the boundaries of guitar making. The Taylor Big Baby is an excellent guitar. You may be unsure about the functionality of baby body guitars but pick one up and play it and we're sure you'll be impressed!
Here's what Taylor have to say about the Big Baby:
The biggest of our small bodies, the Big Baby is just shy of a full-size guitar. Slightly bigger than a Baby Taylor but just shy of a full-size guitar, the Big Baby Taylor is ideal for easy-playing, great-sounding guitar fun. The overall size keeps you in the “portable” category, yet with an extra dose of volume and fullness. Like the Baby, the Big Baby has an arched back that provides strength and contributes to its big tonal output.r have to say about the Big Baby
