Please Note: The images above show the rosewood fingerboard version of this guitar, this model however has a walnut fingerboard.
With its compact body, comfortable neck, and affordability, the Fender CP-60S is an ideal instrument for those looking to start their guitar playing journey. It's also a great choice for more experienced players who want to add a small-bodied acoustic to their collection.
Parlour Body
The parlour body is small in size and as a result is one of the most comfortable to play. Unlike some dreadnoughts and jumbos, you can play a parlour acoustic for hours on end without the body ever causing discomfort. Parlours also make great travel guitars thanks to their compact size. Most important, however, is the sound. With a parlour, size doesn't come at the expense of tone. Parlour guitars have less volume but a softer, warm, and sweet tone that you don't get on a larger-bodied guitars. Parlours can handle strumming well, especially if you're just playing at home, but really come alive when played fingerstyle for blues and folk styles.
The body shape is complemented by the tonewoods - the laminate mahogany back and sides provide some tonal warmth and punch, while the solid spruce top has a clear and balanced sound.
Easy-To-Play Neck
The CP-60S has Fender's 'Easy-to-Play' neck which features rolled fingerboard edges. Players of all skill-levels will enjoy this neck profile but especially beginners and those unfamiliar with acoustic guitars as the neck feels immediately comfortable in the hand so you can spend more time focussing on your playing.
