The Dowina (pronounced Davina) Arbor is a Grand Auditorium guitar with a solid Spruce top and Sapele back and sides.
The Auditorium shape is known as the swiss army knife because it gives a full, fat rhythm sound with it's bigger body but clear note definition thanks to it's square shoulders and narrow waist. And the Sapele/Spruce combo is one of the most favoured in the acoustic guitar world. You get the warmth from the Sapele but all the brightness comes from the spruce top. And with an EBony fretboard, this guitar feels like a dream to play!
The Fishman Matrix blend pickup system is a tried and trusted on-board preamp that will give you a fantastic acoustic sound through any PA system.
It's the flagship pickup system for Fishman as it will give you warm acoustic tones with it's undersaddle piezo system.
Who are Dowina?
Dowina are a company based in Bratislava, Slovakia where they build all of their acoustic guitars by hand. These guitars aren't mass produced at all, and this allows the luthiers more time to take care of each and every instrument as it's made.
Their creation process starts with wood selection where they take the utmost care in chosing highly resonant woods. In fact, they choose to use Dolomite Spruce rather than the typical German Spruce, because it transfer up to 35% more energy.
