SKU: SIG-SDM-18
The SDM-18 takes inspiration from one of the most definitive dreadnought guitars in the world: the D-18. Combining all-solid tonewoods with the classic dreadnought design has resulted in one of Sigma’s most resonant, powerful guitars – a massive sound that far outweighs its modest price point.
Body
All-solid tonewoods ensure that the SDM-18 has a responsive, powerful tone that you’ll seldom find in a guitar at this price point. Solid Mahogany back and sides provide plenty of low-end warmth and projection, perfect for big strummers and studio sessions alike.
For the top wood, Sigma have opted for Solid Sitka Spruce – an acoustic classic. Spruce is known for its balanced, up-close sound. Combined with the Mahogany construction, you’ve got a tonal palette that’s as broad as a dreadnought gets.
Neck
For the neck, the Mahogany theme continues. This ensures that the SDM-18 rings true from headstock to bridge, with a dynamic, responsive sound that’ll suit flatpickers, fingerpickers and everyone in between. Combine this with Sigma’s trademark attention to detail and even a gigbag thrown in for good measure, and you’ve got a guitar that punches way above its weight.
