Dowina Puella DCE Dreadnought Solid Top Cutaway Electro Acoustic

The Puella DCE is a dreadnought guitar with a fantastic Fishman Presys+ pickup system made by the folks at Dowina (pronounced Davina) in Slovakia.

It's got a solid Spruce top with Sapele back and sides. Sapele is very similar to Mahogany in tone, so it will give you loads of warmth with a strong mid-range and the Spruce top will provide all the brightness making a very balanced guitar.

The Puella DCE has no binding, and an open pore finish making for a striking, but simple looking guitar. Perfect to take on the road with you and with the included gigbag, you will be off to the shows in no time.

Electronics

The Fishman Presys+ pickup system is a tried and trusted on-board preamp that will give you a fantastic acoustic sound through any PA system. It has an on-board tuner as well as enough control to shape your acoustic sound for any gig. And if you do get any feedback, the nifty 'notch' control can dial out the troublesome frequency that's causing the issues.

Who are Dowina?

Dowina are a company based in Bratislava, Slovakia where they build all of their acoustic guitars by hand. These guitars aren't mass produced at all, and this allows the luthiers more time to take care of each and every instrument as it's made.

Their creation process starts with wood selection where they take the utmost care in chosing highly resonant woods. In fact, they choose to use Dolomite Spruce rather than the typical German Spruce, because it transfer up to 35% more energy.
