The Forte is the Flagship model for Kurzweil Stage Pianos, and it's pretty impressive. A full 88 key stage piano with a whopping 16gb of sounds, the Forte has some of the most authentic sounds available on a digital piano. If you want to take the expressive tone of a concert grand piano with you to every gig, whilst having the option of a variety of voices at your disposal, the Forte is the cream of the crop.
It's the Sound
Kurzweil have built their name over the years on the quality and realism of the sound of their instruments. Amazing tone, realism and expression that goes far beyond the expectations of what you would imagine an electronic instrument could achieve. The Forte has all those integral elements in spades, creating a professional instrument that would not be out of place on any stage.
A whopping 16gb of sounds gives you truly authentic versions of hand-selected German and vintage Japanese concert grand pianos, as well as Rhodes, Wurlitzer, Clav, Harpsichord, Orchestral Percussion and many more from the acclaimed PC3 and Kore 64 expansion. Each patch is highly detailed so that the instrument responds to every nuance in your performance. To back this up, the Forte has FlashPlay technology that gives the keyboard a staggering amount of horse power to be able to handle these ultra high quality samples combined with a powerful effects Engine and more. Seamless performance without any hiccups or loading times; it simply works!
And the Feel
All these amazing realistic tones would be nothing if the tactile feel of the keys didn't match what was feeding to your ears. Luckily, the Forte is perfectly matched with the best of the best. A full size 88 note, fully-weighted Italian Hammer Action keyboard with aftertouch, that gives you complete control and a deft touch to your playing. You also get 23 programmable physical controllers including sliders, switches, wheels, buttons and pedals (1 sustain pedal is included) so that performing is simple and you can focus on the music.
The Forte has a number of features that help you make quick changes when you're performing. For starters, there's a Widescreen colour LCD Display so that you can quickly and easily navigate all the functions. If you want it even easier than that, a favourites section that allows you to store your 10 favourite patches to recall at the press of a button. Theres also a dedicated 3-band master EQ, so if a patch is too boomy or too thin, you can dial in the perfect mix with bass, treble and sweepable mid-range. You also have quick access to an award-winning array of effects that you can quickly mix into your preset sound.
If you want to get deeper into editing your favourite sounds, you have access to the free download of a software editor to completely transform your patches on PC, Mac or even iPad
