This monstrous 7 string is surprisingly affordable, and equipped for a huge sound out of the box. The LTD SC-207 is the signature model from Stephen Carpenter (of The Deftones). For those who just love low end in their guitar sound, or those who simply enjoy trying new things, the LTD SC-207 is a guitar like no other.

ESP Guitars - one of the "Big 3" when it comes to making guitars & basses for Rock & Metal players. ESP guitars are available in two basic series - ESP & LTD. If it has ESP on the headstock then the guitar has been hand crafted in the ESP Japanese workshop. The quality of these ESP guitars is exceptional - they even have a custom shop that can custom make you anything you want! If the guitar has LTD on the headstock then these are made in other Far Eastern factories (normally Korea). These LTD guitars are made in larger quantities using an assembly line process - the quality is still great & the value for money is amazing.

Over the last 30 years ESP has attracted 100's of the worlds best known guitarists & bass players. The full artist list is massive (if you want to read it go here http://www.espguitars.com/artists.html), but here are a few of the guys that have their own ESP custom made models. Kirk Hammett, Alexi Laiho, Will Adler, Richie Sambora, Ron Wood, Michael Amott, Tom Araya, Jeff Hanneman, and not forgetting the original ESP endorsee George Lynch!

    Mr A Harrison | Purchase date: 15 January 2010

Features: 7 String, Thin Neck, Light Body, EMG's not a lot to grumble about perfect combination for metal.

Sound: As you would expect from any ESP / LTD product very good, the EMG's love distortion and sound brilliant, pinch harmonics are very easy to achieve with the hardware and sustain is excellent.

Action, Fit & Finish: Action was near perfect from store, only adjusted a small amount for my preference, jet black finish looks good, and has a nice feel to it cant complain.

Reliability & Durability: Built like a house, a quality feel and ive never had a problem with other ESP / LTD products, i can see this lasting a long time.

Impression: Overall a great purchase, and the price was right for such a good quality instrument, if you love metal and hate adjusting truss rods and messing around with different string gauges to get a fat metal sound this is a good solution, its solved the sound i was struggling to achieve with a 6 string, plays well and sounds well if you have the money its a well recommended purchase .
