The Gibson Les Paul Studio 60s Tribute is a blast from the past. Based on the the standard Les Paul Studio model with all the impressive quality and incredible value for money that the 'studio' tag stands for and yet the 60s Tribute is packaged to look and feel like a Les Paul Standard bought in the early 60s. Gibson achieve this with a selection of 50s spec lightly worn finishes, genuine P-90 pickups and a slim and quick 60s profile neck. No other Les Paul can offer the same awesome 60s look and feel at the incredible value of the Gibson Les Paul Studio 60s Tribute.

Body construction is chambered mahogany with a carved maple top, a classic combination that goes 80 percent of the way to providing the classic Gibson Les Paul sound: the mahogany gives the tone weight and a rounded low end thats warm and powerful while the maple gives the tone sparkle and crunch

Ever since its introduction in 1983, the Les Paul Studio model has been enormously popular with players seeking the power and versatility of the original Les Paul Standard in a ready-for-action package, with a price to match. The Les Paul Studio '60s Tribute sticks to the script entirely, but its five worn '50s-style finishes reflect the wear of a well-played guitar and its meaty dual single-coil P-90 pickups give it a look akin to classics from the decade of the Les Paul's birth.     An outstanding guitar, beautifully made with just the right balance of detail and simplicity. Bottom line is great tone with just the right amount of bright top and smooth (but not muddy) bottom available.

    This is what you get when you concentrate on putting the money into the RIGHT materials (mahogany, maple, alnico etc.) rather than concentrating on superficial flash things that may look good, but contribute nothing to the sound and feel of the guitar.

    Great to see that Gibson are making such outstanding instruments at such low prices, can't think of anything (up to the asking price of £ 650.00) that even comes close.
