A stylish and different guitar from Canadian makers Godin. The Godin Icon Type 2 features a chambered mahogany body, carved top, set neck construction and an ebony fingerboard.
This guitar gets really interesting when you get to the pickup selection. First, the guitar is loaded with P-Rails pickups from Seymour Duncan which combine a single coil, P90 and humbucker into one. The Icon 2 lets you switch between the different P-Rails configurations to get an unprecedented number of sounds from one guitar!
Additionally, the Icon 2 features Godin's H.D.R. High Definition Revoicer technology which gives you the choice between a passive or an active circuit within your guitar - so there's another set of tones right there!
The number of permutations of pickup configuration and combination you can have on the Icon 2 makes it a very versatile guitar indeed.
N.B. This guitar has Cream-coloured "P-Rails" pickups, not covered humbuckers as pictured. See picture two for a more accurate representation of the pickups.

Classic sound and look for the humbucker lover. The Type2 Classic features a chambered solid mahogany body with carved mahogany top, mahogany set-neck, 24 3/4" scale, 12" radius, ebony fingerboard with 22 frets, Graphtech ResoMax bridge and the Godin High-Definition Revoicer.
H.D.R. High-Definition Revoicer
The H.D.R. revoices and augments the frequency range of each pickup and allows the player to go from passive to active pickups with the simple push of a button.
The H.D.R. provides extra bite, dynamic response and redefines the character of each pickup. It's like having 2 sets of pickups in 1 guitar for 5 pure passive tones + 5 pure active tones.
