Wanted to get a Flying V guitar for ages but when I tried a few I found them difficult to hold and play. But I couldn't stop wanting one.
So I saw the PDX on the web site, contacted the shop to confirm it was in stock and went for a test.
The staff were great and I tried both the Red and the Black - not sure why I felt the colour would matter but it did - the black one definitely made my bottom look smaller.
The PDX was just as difficult as the other similar style guitars to hold and play when sat down, but I was hooked and interest free credit meant I couldn't resist.
Got it home and started playing it properly (for me that is) and it feels fantastic, the sound is great, the quality of build is great and the whammy is getting abused and stays in tune.
It hasn't improved my playing one bit and I still sound nothing like Phil D, but Im now comfortable playing it sat down and get a lot more exercise because you just cant resist standing up to play.
Service Great, Guitar Great and the Smile (as they say) Priceless.

If you are looking for a great starting point to your metal endeavours the Jackson PDX Phil Demmel series is the perfect solution. A versatile sound and a good amplitude from the pickups. Lacks a little of the high-gain lo end power you find in the similar priced ESP guitars. However for solo work it has more clarity in the top end.
Bottom line I would recommend for any beginner who is looking for a guitar to practice various styles of metal work, from soloing to power chords.

This is an excellent guitar! It really looks the part and makes you want to pick it up and play it! Very good quality and well made. When plugged into a decent amp you really get a great sound from it. One thing to keep in mind is that there is no guitar strap with it, but it does come with a bag for carrying it around. I very much recommend this, even if you're only starting to learn how to play!
Also, I should mention that the delivery was fantastic. I ordered the guitar after the cut off time for next day delivery. Even though I'm across the water it still arrived the next day!
Well done Andertons, all of my future purchases will be coming your way!
