The Pedal Train 2 does exactly what it says on the tin. It's a good size board (that comes with Velcro stronger than Superman) that will fit a fair few pedals (as many as 8 if, like me, you do not use a Wah) and is very lightweight. Saying that though, when transporting it, DO NOT use the bag's shoulder strap, unless you want to ache for days, use the handle - your shoulders will thank you!
All in all, it's a great, practical, design that, in all honesty, you could probably make yourself at home with a bunch of timber and some screws, but it just wouldn't be the same! The slick lines and cool aluminium make for a perfectly functioning and good looking, reliable bit of kit.
I would say that it's definitely worth getting the Pedal Power 2 to power it. I read the description here on the Andertons website and to be honest was a little mislead by what was written. Contrary to what is written, The ONLY power supply you can mount underneath the Pedal Train 2 (with the brackets provided) is the Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2.
I, being greedy, went for the T-Rex Fuel Tank Classic (which powers 2 more pedals than the Pedal Power) but was punished when I realised that under-mounting was impossible so now I have my Fuel Tank Velcro'd on top with the pedals. Still more than enough space for my Big Muff, Digitech Hardwire Reverb, Micro P.O.G., Boss TU-2, Digital Delay and Blues Driver though so I'm more than happy.
I gigged with it for the first time at The Rhythm Factory last week and loved every minute of it. Great stuff, I'd highly recommend it.
