Marshall announces 50th Anniversary 1w Mini Amps

The extremely limited edition Marshall 50th Anniversary 1 Watt amps will be released in a staggered fashion throughout 2012 starting with the JTM based Marshall 50th Anniversary JTM1 in January. The JTM45 began to define Marshall's signature sound in the 60s and the Marshall JTM1 features period correct styling and layout with a single channel with loudness and tone controls (no master volumes yet!)

Moving on to the 70s and the JMP series of amps began to cement Marshall as the Rock and Roll tone of choice and we need only mention four letters at this point starting with AC and ending in DC! The JMP1 bring the classic 70s styling and classic 70s crunch overdrive. In keeping with the historic evolution of Marshall's amps the JMP1 features a two band tone control but still no master volume! The JMP1

Moving to the 80s now and to the amp that many still think of as the ultimate Rock tone: The Marshall JCM800. The Marshall JCM1 is a fantastic miniaturised version down to the classic gold metal and white piping! We also see the first appearance of the Master Volume sitting alongside a Pre-Amp gain and three band EQ. There's also a boost switch to get the proper JCM800 unleashed sound.

The 90s saw a move towards more modern technology with the popular JCM2000 Dual Super Lead. The Marshal DSL1 features footswitchable Clean and Overdrive Channels, Master Volume, three band EQ and extra tone shaping switches. It also features a speaker emulated line output.

The finally we reach the 2000s and the current crown of Marshall's collection the JVM series. The Marshall JVM1 features correct styling, dual channels, four band EQ (Bass, Middle, Treble and Presence, Emulated line out and an FX loop. The JVM1 like its bigger cousins has the most gain on tap of the collection and is perfect for modern metal and rock.

All of the Marshall 50th Anniversary 1 Watt amps feature a commemorative back plate, 1w to 0.1w switch for extra attentuation, Footswitches where appropriate and either a 10" Celestion (JTM1, JMP1, JCM1 Combos) or a 8" Celestion (DSL1, JVM1 Combons).
