The battery powered Boss Micro BR offers 2 simultaneous record/input tracks, 4 simultaneous playback tracks each with 8-virtual tracks for a total of 32-virtual tracks. The recording media is easily sourced Secure Digital SD cards, a 128MB card is shipped with the Micro BR. Not only does the Micro BR function as a recorder with stereo mic and line inputs on a single mini-jack as well as a built-in microphone, but MP3 files can be loaded from a computer via the USB port. While the Micro BR can act as a standard MP3 player, you can also use it as a phrase trainer with a 1/4" Hi-Z guitar input, 293 rhythm patterns which play back independently of the 4 playback tracks, on-board multi-effects including a time-strtch algorithm for altering the tempo of playback tracks without changing pitch, and a Center Cancel feature to remove center panned guitar solos.
