I bought this unit from Andertons several years ago it has been heavily used but is still going strong. It was almost twice the price of some similar units but I would heavily recommend it. This is altogether quite a professional peice of kit. Really solidly built and featuring an amazing array of features. The standard of recordings will be as good as your personal set up. So if that's pro your recordings will sound pro on this machine. I did own another make and it was all right but was a toy compared to this. I've just produced a three CD album on this machine that would have cost probably 30k plus even in a cheap pro studio. The memory does get full but not so quick as my previous unit and you can download tracks to a DVD for storage. Probably my only criticism is one that could be aimed at not just this unit but all of them and that is it is more a 12 track than a 16 as having double/stereo tracks together effectively makes them single channels whereas with a mixer 16 channels would have 16 completely separate sliders and inputs. That said the only time I've run out I've bounced successfully or used a separate mixer for drums and then put them into a stereo input. I bought an electric kit also Roland from Andertons and no one has ever realised they aren't an acoustic kit. All in all this is a brilliant peice of recording that could save you a fortune and make recording great quality stuff relatively easy. After all these years of use I'd definitely recommend it.
