The Line 6 Pod v2
When the Line 6 Pod was first released it took us over 6 months to supply all the back orders we had for the product. The delivery man would arrive with our monthly van load & as fast as we could unload them, customers were buying them. Finally a device that actually sounded like the amps it promised to! Several years later & the original Pod is now a Pod v2, plus it has a big family of other Pod units designed to cater for all types of guitar player. The Pod v2 is still a very useful unit & the sounds on board are as authentic sounding now as they ever were. Guitar players love the fact that you don't need to read the manual in order to get the most out of it. I suppose you could point out that it doesn't have a USB output & that the selection of FX is pretty basic, but when you look at the price (under 100 pounds), we still think it's a fantastic unit. The Pod v2 is ideal for use in home studios or just for practice use. You can run it through your guitar amp, into a hi-fi, into a home studio, or into headphones. Total Guitar Mag says "Number 1 product of the last ten years. Truly awesome" - I think we'd agree.
