If you've always had a hankering for a 335 but can't run to full blown Gibson prices, much as you'd love to, then this is the must have alternative; after all. Epiphone is part of Gibson. This guitar is all I expected and more. The twin humbuckers with independent volume and tone pots and the three way selector switch give you all the tone and output variability you could possibly want.

Construction is of the high quality I was expecting and the set up out of the box was spot on. I was expecting to spend some time setting the intonation and action and was even readying myself to fiddle with the truss rod, but all I needed to do was tune it. I can't add any comment about this guitar's versatility that hasn't already been said, so I won't try.

Any downside? well there's the silly E sticker Epiphone insist on attaching to the scratchplate and the cheap lead which is supplied, but these things are so easily remedied as to be totally insignificant. Anyone who is put off by those things really doesn't deserve to have one!

I wish there were more stars available... BUY ONE!
