The Orange Micro Terror features the same rugged metal build quality as other Terror amps but at just (approximately) 9" wide by 6" tall the Micro Terror takes 'portable' to another level.

The Micro Terror features one preamp tube (12AX7) and a 20w Solid State output section. This hybrid combination of tube and transistor allows the Micro Terror to get the warmth and complexity of tube tube tone but with the weight reduction benefit of solid state technology. So you get the portability of orange's Crush range of solid states but with a tone closer to the awesome tube tone of the Tiny Terror.

An aux input allows a MP3 player or CD player to be added to the mix sent to the speaker making this a perfect tool for practising

Please note: This product does not come with a speaker cable. Please see the related items section for an appropriate cable.

This tiny amp is ridiculous...ly amazing! I wanted a decent practice amp for playing punk/rock/metalesque music and this little amp can do it all, and despite it's truly miniscule size it is SO LOUD!! I have to have the volume on no higher than 1 if I am not using headphones so that I don't annoy the neighbours, so that shows how loud it can go.

Using headphones with this is great, I can practice in almost silence and I still get the VERY loud gainy tones in my ears - I can't hear a thing that is going on around me when I have my headphones in!

The added benefit of this little amp is that you can always upgrade the Cab from the little Orange 8" practice one to a larger 2x12 or even 4x12 at a later date for a louder sound and then you can buy a more powerful head and keep this one as a cute (but deadly) backup.

I really cannot fault this amp in any way whatsoever - EXTREMELY loud high-quality tube tones that are perfect for almost every type of guitar sound in a truly tiny package for only £100 (+£50 for the little cab). What are you waiting for...ORDER ONE NOW!!!!!!! I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

For the money it's a bargain. I upgraded from an Orange Crush type combo and really notice the improvement in tone (running with the accompanying 8" cab). Nice, warm and distinctive Orange crunchy, bright tone.

Pretty loud - I'm running it on the lowest of low volumes so maybe bear that in mind. Mine did actually come with a speaker cable.

    Good little amp.

Good build quality, nice design, easy to use.

Useless at low volumes, and when using headphones, but lots of fun if you're gonna crank it up.

Nice tones, lots of crunch, nothing groundbreaking, but for £99 it's great.

I was sooo disappointed when I opened the packaging... it was miniscule. I plugged it in, connected to the speaker box, turned the volume up halfway - the mice left the building!

What is really amazing is the pure sound quality. Ok, I'm an old fart, not a gigging musician, but wow. I believe you could easily play a small venue with this rig.

Full marks to Orange - to enable me to sound this good, and for under £100. A no-brainer!

Bought to back up my valve amp at gigs.

Very loud hybrid amp. Could get a way with a pub gig if you do not need super clean sounds. Pedals seem to work well with this. Great value for money . Only one channel and simple eq.

    Purchased from www.Andertons.co.uk for £99

I am very satisfied with this little amp for the cost. What I found is that I can get T-Rex sounds up to AC/DC and it also has a very good clean tones.

There is a harsh edge to the audio frequency spectrum but hey, for the £99 this is an extremely good buy, and I might add, is fine for Rockabilly.

One critique is that its too loud for me. Not their fault, but it is very surprising when you see the size of this thing. One tug on the guitar cable and it falls off the cab. Guess I will have to strap it down!

I play this through a homemade 12" 100W celestion speaker cab. Its crying out for me to really turn it up, but the neighbours are not, erm, deaf..... yet. I don't use effects except for a slap back delay for Rockabilly

Maybe I would be better off with a switchable 15 to 7 Watt valve amp like the Orange Tiny Terror, but thats 3.4 times the price!

Overall I like this amp head, it has made me happy.

Wow! The YouTube demo with Chappers is great ... but even that doesn't really do this amp justice. A great variety of tone to be found, and the volume can be just silly. Very easy to set up and use as well. Also, with a back problem like I have this really does mean I can play through a proper amp again without risking more damage by trying to move a bigger, heavier box. And if you need to hide it, or take it out, it'll fit easily into a 6-pack beer cooler!

This is one of those things, that just make you smile when you see it! It is very very cute. But when you actually plug in, your smile will get so big so big, your face will hurt!! This is a proper amp with a really good variety of tones & it is loud. For this price you know it makes sense, buy it!

Super, what a great little amp to have kicking about. My girlfriend commented as I pulled out the box how 'cute' it looked five minutes later she was asking me to turn it down please.. this amp indeed, is a 'terror' =)

This amp is so practical to have around the house it saves me plugging in the big stuff much of the time and I find it has a great range of tones available despite the apparent lack of control options. Classic Orange tones are available on tap at very nice practice levels and although it is certainly loud enough to p**s the neighbours off or even gig with it will punish you with quite a bit of hiss and noise when pushed to the max.

Yes this amp is is a great blast of fun but also a very usable little tool, its robust, looks cool and is perfectly priced in the market against inferior sounding products from other manufacturers.

I would highly recommend this to anybody looking for a great home practice amplifier, students and beginners could do a lot worse in terms of the range of tones available as this amp will make an excellent starting block for young musicians learning the craft, veteran string slingers will find a lot of inexpensive hours of joy in its simplicity and sound.

Also I have tried it through a 4x12 as nicely demonstrated by Chappers and Mr.Anderton on the video and yes it was deliciously funny.

    Regards

Bought on the strength of the Anderton's YouTube demo. Running it through a Marshall 2x12 cab. Can't believe the volume of this little amp. With the right cab you could definitely gig it.

Produces great, warm blues tones with P90s and nice, cutting Black Crowes tones with my Tele. I anticipated that pushing it with humbuckers for a more metal sound would leave it wanting and the bass 'mushy' but not at all. It stays very sharp.

Add one to your rig / tone choices. Don't go thinking it's a novelty amp because of its size. That really isn't what it's about. Through the right cab it's a 'real' amp.

Great little head! Can't fault it for the price. Wide range of useable sounds & plenty loud enough for rehearsal - through a big cab, it's loud enough for a smallish gig too - easily competes with a kit! I've used it through 3 different 4x12's - the ohmage isn't a problem - I think it sounded best through my vintage 1960A (16 ohm with 25w Celestions) - plenty of headroom. It can get a little noisy with single coils though - but then, that's part of the vibe, isn't it? I usually have a relatively cleanish sound, but use a Lazy J Cruiser overdrive/booster for my drive, so I have Master Vol fully up, and the Pre at about 3-4...Nice! Don't be fooled though this amp will do classic Rock/Blues/Metal easily - anything you can throw at it..

As usual - first class service from Andertons & their helpful staff - hell, I might even get another one!

Wow, this product is loud, punchy and has an excellent sound overall. I have played this through a few different guitars and it works well. I own a mesa amp and cannot beleive I have not tried orange amps before. The quality is great overall. Of course if you want the loudest output you have to push the amp, buts its happy to go there and sounds excellent at these volumes. Dont forget that you have to wind the gain up as you get louder and of course the sound gets more driven and less clean.

I think I could go to band practise with this and I am sure I could do a small pub gig with it.

Well done Orange alot of amp for little money.

The ONLY things 'micro' about the Orange Micro Terror are the size and the price. This thing is fantastic. The head itself is so cute it hurts, just like a Tiny Terror that's been shrunk in the wash. But there's nothing small about the tone it delivers. I got a great range of tones out of my USA Tele and Gibson Midtown, playing around with the amp and guitar controls gives you a palette of sounds that will cover most genres. Be warned though, despite it's diminutive dimensions don't be fooled into thinking this thing is quiet. I really struggled to get my Tele into breakup at a volume that wouldn't bring the neighbours crashing through my door, and that was running it through the matched 8" cab. This little terror is LOUD!

Using the headphone out gives you more grunt but you lose a bit of sound quality.

Anyway, I love this little amp, and I fear Andertons will very soon be relieving me of more of my hard earned cash so I can invest in a 1x12 to run with it....... or maybe a 2x12...........or maybe a 4x12 - The wife's gonna kill me!

Had this little wonder for a few weeks now, and loving it more everyday. Friends and family think it must be a kids toy, but this is no novelty!

It's seriously loud and you could easily gig with it. Don't be fooled into thinking you can crank it up at home, you'll need pedals in front to get any dirt out of it at acceptable levels of volume. My tele only went into break up when the amp was screaming and the neighbours wouldn't have been far behind!

It's perfect for home use (with an overdrive) and a real viable option for gigging with a larger cab. I'm running mine through two of the matched 8" Orange cabs, and they're far better than you'd expect.

I can't recommend this rig enough, for £99 it's a complete no brainer.
