First things' first here, great service from Andertons.... The first Mustang V amp I ordered turned up damaged, a replacement ordered and delivered as soon as it came in and arrived to me in perefect condition. Very efficient, very friendly and helpful service, so thanks for soting that one out guys.

Great piece of kit this! An amp head capable of belting out 150W (2x75w stereo output)of lovely Fender sounds and loudness. Ok, so those legendary and classic Fender tones may not be quite there (to a valve purist anyway) but I think they are really very, very, very, very close. For the price of this thing I'm not complaining though. I could never afford to buy the real amps modelled in this one head and for what I want it to do, so far, it hasn't dissapointed

100 Presets, 12 amp models(+ Speaker simulator too) and a few effects to boot ..... The Fender Fuse software and USB capability (proven to be very handy too!), Ableton lite edition included with it aswell.

Having thought long and hard about getting one of these and looking in particular at the Mustang IV 2x12 combo. However, after asking a few questions of the wonderfully patient staff at Andertons I decided to bite the bullet and buy the head. This was along with a Marshall 1936 2x12 cab going second hand in the shop. A stereo 2x12 150W(2x75W)cab, runs at 8 ohms(same as the Mustang V) - A perfect match!

I'm not a fan of speaker simulators (That's just me and my ears though) and this has that facility too (various cabinets ranging from the Champ to the Supersonic via Bassman and Twin Reverb, through 1x12's, 2x12's to some 4x12's also. You have the option to have no speaker simulator active, which I like and use extensively, or, you can mix and match any cabinet with any amp.

I can't really say anything negative about this amp, only time will tell whether it's reliable or not. For the price alone and the features packed into this amp and the quality of sound and tone that eminates from it I really can't see how I wouldn't or couldn't replace it if were lost, stolen or even just broke down.

If you are undecided about what amp to get next then the least you can do is check the Mustangs out. They are defintely worth a serious look.
