Fender Mustang Four-Button Footswitch (Part Number 0080996000)

Connect a 4-button footswitch to your Mustang amplifier (included with the Mustang IV & V, optional equipment for the Mustang III) to enable remote multi-function foot control. The footswitch display and LEDs show you some of the same information as the amplifier screen, so you can, for example, tune your guitar and select presets by watching the footswitch without ever looking at the screen onboard the Mustang!

Features

  • Select Quick Access presets (QA1/QA2/QA3)
  • Select presets (up/down/bank)
  • Bypass effects
  • Activate the Tuner

Versatile piece of kit and, in my view, an essential purchase for any Mustang 3 owners who use their amp for live performance. I’m assuming not many would buy a 100 watt amp for home use. If you have then don’t move next door to me please!

I’d read the product description and this information was enough to use the pedal without resorting to the Mustang instruction manual.

The footswitches are well labelled and there are 5 leds and an led display giving info on which preset you’re using or which not you’re playing in tuning mode. I’d recommend getting used to the pedal at home before live use as the labels, though very clear in normal lighting, may not be so easy to read in stage lighting.

If a Mustang preset does not use stomp modulation or delay then these can’t be activated via the footswitch. My advice is to program in one of each of these effects to all presets you use live and set them up so that only the ones you want are initially used. You then have the option of adding effects via the footswitch.

The Mustang 3 has a separate socket for the supplied 2 button switch and this 4 button switch and you can use both together.

The unit was competitively priced at Andertons and arrived very quickly considering it was not in stock at the time I ordered it.

    Very pleased with my purchase.
