This came free with the Spider IV 75 at Andertons, so I was pleased for a start. Having no power supply (powered from amp) is a great bonus for me and gives me easy access to the pre-sets that I have moved to the user banks.

The switch back to volume from Wah after hitting a switch is an advantage to me as I would not want to Wah with a the second effect chosen.

It is a solid metal build and should last a long while. I wonder if it will last as long as my Cry Baby and Ibanez Tube Screamer that have been around too long to remember?

It was an interesting set up to update the firmware in the amp, but I got there in the end. I wonder how many people simply just won't manage to do it successfully?

I would recommend this to another musician as quite honestly it is a bargain.

This pedal was 'free' with the Spider Line 6 IV 75w I bought. Its a sturdy pedal and it important to note its only a pedal to control the effects on the amp.. there are no effects built in ( with the exception of the volume / wah wah ). It connects via an RJ45 cable the same you use for connecting computers to networks.. not a problem and works well. There s a couple of things that I didn't like.. 1. if you use the wah wah option and you change channel you lose the wah wah, it reverts back to a volume control 2. The four foot switches that control the 4 channel options on the amp are placed in 2 rows rather than 4 in a row side by side.. easy to hit the wrong one.

Hi all you good people, I recently purchased the FBV Express MKII footswitch for my Line6 Spider IV amp. I wanted the apparent flexibility to quickly chance my amp channel and, more importantly, I wanted the Wah effect. As with all Line6 products the build quality is excellent. The foot switches are positive and the feel is sturdy. It also comes with a good long cable. The tuner is excellent and very easy to use. But, and you knew this was coming....contol via the pedal is either volume or Wah. Ok, except that when you change channel, is goes back to it's default setting which is volume. So there I was playing away to Enter The Sandman, getting ready for some Wah action and bam....I turn down my volume instead! Hardly the action of a budding rock god me thinks. If you can live with that one criticism it's otherwise good. But for me life is too short to drink cheap wine or use multi purpose pedals. I return the unit, enjoyed great customer service and bought the Dunlop Cry Baby Wah instead....lovely.

I bought this as a channel selector switch for a Line 6 Spider Valve amp. It also has an expression pedal and built in tuner, which is accurate and has an easy to read LED display.

I have bought other Line 6 products and this one like all of them seems sturdy and well-built. The channel selection switches work well are dual function with 'press and hold' getting you to the tuner and 'tap' accessing the amps tremelo/delay speed. The expression pedal is switchable between volume and wah. The pedal itself has good feel and range, but, and this is why I've only given this 3 stars, it annoyingly switches back to the default volume function when you change channel, so while I might use it for practising I wouldn't gig with it.

I purchased this along with a spider 3 150w amp for my 13 year old son,as he has used both these in the Blaenau Gwent rock school that he practises with, and he found that the spider 3 amp and footpedal compliment each other and both are easy to use, with fantastic effect.also excellent service and price from Andertons.
