Our good pal Rabea stopped by the Andertons TV Studio to talk us through some of Music Man’s 2024 Artist guitars, and he kindly brought a prototype of his own Artist guitar to show off – more info on this below. Check it out:
Music Man Rabea Massaad Sabre
Rabea Massaad was announced as a new artist for Ernie Ball Music Man in April 2023. At the time of the announcement, the company teased a signature model in the works.
Fast forward to January 2024, Rabea himself posted a video showing off some late-stage prototypes of his signature Sabre model, disclosing some extra-juicy details of the model(s!) he’s working on with Music Man. Let’s take a look at what we know so far…
Rabea Massaad Sabre Specs & Info (so far)
- 2 variants: Frenzied Flame (a limited run) with Roasted Figured Maple neck & fretboard, and Vileblood with an Ebony fretboard
- Thicker neck profile near the nut, thinner towards the body
- Doughnut inlays
- Flame Maple top
- Arm carve for comfort & ergonomics
- Deep carve on back for access
- ‘Spoon cut’ horn for high-fret access
- 5-way blade pickup switch
- Volume control and tone control with push-push coil split
- Music Man JP-style floating bridge with trem
- Bare Knuckle Silo signature humbuckers
- Sterling Models expected to be announced soon
