The Notch Filter acts as a feedback frequency limiter, reducing the chance of feedback by notching out the feedbacking frequency.

The TK-40 replaces the original TK-4N preamp found on older Takamine models.

First of all, the quality of service was fantastic. No problems with the transaction, delivery or the quality of the product when it arrived!

The guitar itself is fantastic. There's a great, rich, full-bodied sound that works well both acoustically and through the amp...and no "tinny" sounds that you might get from a less well-designed guitar.

Furthermore, it looks great and is comfortable to play also.

Can't put the guitar down...a joy to play!

All in all, would recommend Andersons and this guitar!

I bought my Takamine while looking for a Jumbo to add to my collection. While subjective, (like most things are with instruments), the aesthetics of this guitar are great. The tone is lovely and deep and the on board electrics are great.

The factory set up on mine wasn't so good with the action set wayyyy too high but after a decent set up it plays great.

Andertons service was it's usual exceptional standard. This was the fourth guitar I've bought from them and the service is the reason I keep going back, well, that and the GAS!

I was looking for a mid-priced but good quality electro-acoustic for live and studio use, and was drawn to the Takamine because of their excellent reputation. Despite some initial concerns that being Korean made it might be a 'budget' range, I was very impressed with the finish, build quality, and acoustic properties. It sounds big, bright and resonant, and full and crisp when plugged in, with useful and responsive EQ. The onboard tuner also works very well. An excellent acoustic for a remarkably modest price - highly recommended.

I should add that the staff at the Guildford branch were incredibly helpful, and after I had tried out several others, even sent someone to their offsite warehouse to get this guitar so I could try it out. Needless to say, I bought it. 5 stars!

Saw this guitar on another website and went to buy it but they didn't actually stock it and I was going to buy a cheaper guitar of the same style, but I decided not too. So I desperately searched the internet and found this one on Andertons. I travelled to Guildford and bought it. And my oh my am I glad that I waited! It looks so good! I bought a Takamine eg 523sc acoustic guitar from Andertons, everything was very professional and fast. I made my purchase by internet, my finance was aproved very fast and after I send back the paperwork signed I received the instrument very well packaged to make sure no damage could be done. The instrument came in perfect conditions and I will buy more from Andertons Music.

Just wanted to mention the quick, informative service provided by Andertons. The Takamine EG523sc is a lovely guitar. Have had many compliments on its design. I haven't hooked it up to an Amp as yet but Acoustically it is brilliant. Not so loud fingerpicking but the strumming feels a room (down to the jumbo frame).

Banged it a couple of times already. In fact it made a dent in my table, however the guitar was unscathed. Sturdy as well as attractive!
