ESP Ltd EC1000 Guitar

ESP Guitars - one of the "Big 3" when it comes to making guitars & basses for Rock & Metal players. ESP guitars are available in two basic series - ESP & LTD. If it has ESP on the headstock then the guitar has been hand crafted in the ESP Japanese workshop. The quality of these ESP guitars is exceptional - they even have a custom shop that can custom make you anything you want! If the guitar has LTD on the headstock then these are made in other Far Eastern factories (normally Korea).

These LTD guitars are made in larger quantities using an assembly line process - the quality is still great & the value for money is amazing. Over the last 30 years ESP has attracted 100's of the worlds best known guitarists & bass players. The full artist list is massive (if you want to read it go here http://www.espguitars.com/artists.html), but here are a few of the guys that have their own ESP custom made models. Kirk Hammett, Alexi Laiho, Will Adler, Richie Sambora, Ron Wood, Michael Amott, Tom Araya, Jeff Hanneman, and not forgetting the original ESP endorsee George Lynch!

I Have had this guitar for a few weeks now and it has really performed wonders so far. The active pickups are very good and have a nice bass response as well as a silky top end. The finish is very smooth with all of the angles very flush. I recommend that you buy a case to protect this axe as it really is good. The action is very fast and so is the neck, it plays very quickly and is fairly small meaning anyone ( and i have large hands) can play this neck.

The only flaw on this design is that the strap buttons dont seem all that secure. I use strap locks and its fine.

I have gigged this guitar once infront of 500 people + and it held up and looked very well on the stage.

Time will tell but i think this is a keeper.
