- What does this mean?
Bare Knuckle are becoming one of the worlds most popular pickup brands thanks to their bombproof build quality and unbelievedable sound no matter your style. While they may be mainly known for their metal pickups they also make an incredible range of pickups that can cover everything from those who want crystal cleans to destructive high gain madness. This pickup is the Stormy Monday humbucker set that delivers authentic vintage tone similar to the PAFs of the late 1950's.
Stunning Vintage Tone
These humbuckers are made for those that want to get the best vintage rock and blues sound possible. Looking back at the old humbucking guitars of the 1950's is the only way to do this so with that in mind they made the Stormy Mondays. With a punchy and present and high end, clear low end but slightly scooped mids these are perfect for any kind of classic rock, blues or jazz work where you need to fit in with a whole band without popping out of the mix.
Handmade In The UK
One of the best things about Bare Knuckle pickups is the build quality. There are very few pickup companies that can claim to have the same level of build quality and consistency as these guys. All of their pickups are handmade in the UK using only the best parts possible meaning this won't be failing on you in a few years time.
Here's what Bare Knuckle say about Stormy Monday Pickups
A sweet, articulate humbucker with warm bass, hollow mids and smooth high end that is extremely clear and dynamic.
Authentically vintage in both voicing and output, the Stormy Monday humbucker is completely handwound with vintage correct 42 AWG plain enamel wire and handcrafted with butyrate bobbins, calibrated sand cast Alnico II magnet, solid nickel silver baseplate and cover.
As with the early 'Patent Applied For' humbuckers, the coils are wound asymmetrically for extended frequency response and touch sensitive feel. The Stormy Monday faithfully reproduces the tones of the brighter '57 & '58 era PAFs with smooth natural sustain, wonderful pick dynamics and string separation. Low notes have warmth and fullness; the highs are sweet and mellow while the mids are slightly scooped producing a soft, percussive vintage tone.
