EMG KH20 Kirk Hammett Set of Pickups & Pickguard

Kirk is truly the soloist of the decade and EMG pickups are the tools of his trade. One of the ways he gets his fierce solid tone and tight searing harmonics is from his signature Pro-Series system, the EMG-KH20, a soloists dream setup. This system joins the EMG-81 with a pair of EMG-S single-coil pickups. These pickups are all built around ceramic magnets for the tightest, most controlled sound with incredible versatility. This setup comes with two tones and a master volume all wired onto a custom 11-hole white pearl pickguard with contrasting black knobs. Hear for yourself why this powerful setup was the choice of a rising star back in the day and endures as the sound of a generation.

The pre-populated pickguard just slid straight into the Highway One Strat. However the tone and power is amazing, the 81 really allows a heavy crunch and the single coils give you a tone great for chords. Although a Hammett set these suit a vast array of styles from Blues to Metal to Jazz even.
I would recommend, especially to replace the rather tinny sounding Highway One single coils.
