Orange Tiny Terror Combo Guitar Amplifier All Valve Combo

15 Watts switchable to 7 Watts

Orange Amps started as the 'Orange Musical Instrument Shop' back in 1968.

Orange Amplification founder Cliff Cooper has provided amps to many artists over the years, starting with Fleetwood Mac and then a whole host of well known bands - Black Sabbath, T Rex, AC/DC, Bon Jovi, James Brown, BB Kink, U2 and ZZ top just to name a few!

Orange electric guitar amps have a very British sound and are tube powered.

Sweet, harmonic clean tones to wonderful distortion.

The Orange Tiny Terror Combo joins the already legendary Tiny Terror guitar amp head in a combo form. The Tiny Terror Combo has all the features of the original head, all valve, 15 watt, switchable down to 7 and the unique Orange two stage pre-amp which uses just three controls.

The Tiny Terror combo uses a high quality 18mm plywood cabinet and is fitted with a fantastic Celestion G12H-30 70th Anniversary speaker.

Features

  • Sweet, harmonic clean tones to wonderful distortion
  • Excellent with singlecoils
  • Retro rock/vintage amp sound
  • Controls: Gain, Tone and Volume

Orange's tiny terror's got some kind of distinctive sound that I don't use any effect pedal on it. Sounds very very good. What other? Looks orangy which is quite unique. Juicy as orange.

At high volume, when guitar is not played combo tend to give an unwanted sound. So I've to mute the volume even for short time.

First thanks to Andertons, I ordered it on Friday & as promised it was delivered on Saturday. What an amp, I also own a Soldano SL60 with a 2x12 Marshall cab but only my Gibson Classic Premium Plus sounds good through it & it's too loud at many gigs. My other guitars are an 18 year old PRS Custom 24 & a 1962 Strat, both sound amazing through this amp, the Strat especially. I would recommend the combo, the extra cost is worth it as the heavy duty cab gives gives plenty of deep rich tones, build quality is superb. I'm a 60's relic & have owned and used many amps over the years but this Tiny Terror combo is quite amazing, I wouldn't have believed a 7/15 watt amp with 3 controls could be so good. Try one!!

    Again thanks guys at Andertons

I am very impressed with Andertons service, the amp arrived the next day as promised and at present I live 200 miles away from Guildford, the amp is also very impressive, the build quality is first class & you can get a wide variety of sounds, even though there are only three controls, sometimes less is more, it is also very loud for a 15w amp. If it had an effects send & return I would have given it 5 stars, using an in line reverb pedal isn't the easiest to control if you suddenly up the gain on the amp. otherwise, superb. Well done Andertons

Initially when looking to buy and amp I was looking at a blues junior, However once I plugged this TT in it blew everything else I had tried out the water. Don't let the 3 knobs fool you, this is still a versatile amplifier although you may need to buy an overdrive/distortion unit as there is no second channel. Overall, shimmering cleans and crunchy gain. A great buy.

If anyone is in the market for a small tube combo under £500, I'm certain you couldn't do better than the Tiny Terror.

With the 7 or 15 watt options, it's perfect for recording, or smaller sized venue gigs, and the sounds you can get out of it are just about the most authentic, organic things you'll ever hear from a small tube combo.

The first thing you notice, well, at least the first thing I did, is the overdrive, which is simply some of the best crunchy, dirty tube breakup I've ever heard. But, with only three controls, Volume, Tone and Gain, it's easy to modify to your own wicked ends, and although finding a really good clean tone is admittedly harder than finding that perfect crunchy overdrive, once you find it, it's as clear and beautiful as any Fender amp I've played.

Another impressive feature is it's versatility, aside from maybe Jazz, I'm certain you could use this amp for anything and sound as good as any amp that is designed specifically for the genre.

Also, just look at it. It's orange!

So, yeah, if you're looking for a small, but loud, tube combo, I can't recommend the Tiny Terror highly enough.

Let me be the first to say that I am no professional when it comes to amps, having owned Marshall and Fender numbers over the last 10 years this is my first experience with an Orange product and I must say it wont be my last. I am running my Fender Strat Thinline Deluxe through Orange's Tiny Terror Combo and living in a large apartment block in Amsterdam I dont think my neighbours are enjoying it as much as I am.

The clean tones are really crisp I also have been using my acoustic/electric Washburn through it which sounds quite solid as well! Giving it a burst of gain will really suprise you on what this baby can do with punchy crisp and crunchy sound the tones and vibe of this amp really produce something special.

Perfect for small gigs, home (on a low volume ;)) or recording, the Tiny Terror in my book is a super investment.

I would recommend the Orange Tiny Terror Combo to any potential buyer. The build quality is exceptional and the sounds can go from sweet cleans through to some heavy distortion. Sounds great and really shows off the differing characteristics of both my Fender Stratocaster and Gibson SG.
