The Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue Combo

A few years ago the original Fender Blues Deluxe Combo had a gain stage upgrade & became the Hot Rod Deluxe Combo. The Hot Rod Deluxe sounds great & is one of our best selling amps. However, some players missed the super clean sounds & more subtle over drive tones of the original Blues Deluxe Combo & so Fender have reissued the amp. The other cool feature on the reissued Blues Deluxe Combo is that it comes in the vintage style tweed covering which is not available on the Hot Rod version. If country blues is your thing & you need a small to medium sized gigging combo then you should really check this amp out.

Here's what Fender say about the Blues Deluxe Reissue Combo

Fender unveiled its Tweed series amps to great success and acclaim in 1993. The concept: What if a great old collectable 1950s Deluxe or Bassman was customized with channel switching and reverb?

Behold the Reissue Blues Deluxe - a vintage-style tube amp with boutique tone at a great price that many a pro rock, country and blues player has used to superb effect. While its newer cousin, the Hot Rod Deluxe, has many modern refinements, more and more enthusiasts continue to request the warm tone, unique circuitry, classic features and sharp look of the original version.

Accordingly, the Reissue Blues Deluxe sends 40 watts of juice into a single 12" Special Design Eminence speaker, fueled by two  6L6  output tubes and three 12AX7 preamp tubes. Its two channels, normal (with bright switch) and drive, are voiced for classic blues, country and rock; other features include Fender spring reverb, an effects loop and two-button channel footswitch. The great look includes tweed covering, chicken head pointer knobs and a chrome control panel.

The Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue is an excellent amp.

I have been using a Marshall DSL 401 but wanted the Fender sound instead. I tried out the Hot Rod Deluxe and Blues Junior but as soon as I tried Blues Deluxe I knew it was the amp I wanted.

The clean channel is superb with its bell-like chime and masses of headroom. This is a loud amp! The drive channel is also very good - not so fizzy as the more drive channel on the Hot Rod Deluxe - but you can dial in some excellent tone in it. The reverb is very useable. Altogether this a great sounding amp - I am very impressed - I know i made the right decision in buying it. It just looks cool in tweed.

I play a Gretsch 6210, Fender Strat and Tele through it. Just brilliant!

I like to buy my gear at Andertons even though it is a 220 mile round trip for me - the sales staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. I hate going into other guitar shops where often the staff are grumpy and unhelpful.
