The Fender Modern Player Jaguar is aimed at the bassist that wants a palette of classic Fender bass tones while also standing out from the crowd with an instrument that's a little more individual. The Modern Player Jaguar satisfies this by mixing a bridge pickup taken from the Modern Player Jazz Bass and a middle Modern Player Precision pickup which combined with the individual volume controls can dish up Fender Jazz Bass tones, Fender Precision Bass tones or a mix of the two resulting in something really original!

Finished in Black for a subtle and understated look

Here's what Fender say about the Modern Player Jaguar Bass

The Modern Player Jaguar Bass presents a lean, mean and stripped-down version of the ultra-sleek bass model, with a powerful P/J configuration-a Modern Player Precision Bass middle pickup and Modern Player Jazz Bass bridge pickup-and streamlined control configuration. Features include a koto body, C-shaped maple neck, maple fretboard with 9.5” radius and 20 jumbo frets, three-ply parchment pickguard, three Jazz Bass control knobs (middle volume, bridge volume, master tone), vintage-style four-saddle bridge with brass saddles, open-gear tuners and nickel/chrome hardware. Available in Black.

As stated previously this is a great bass for the money, fit and finish are superb, I cannot find 1 flaw, even played great straight out the box! Recommended, service from Andertons once again fantastic, thanks guys.

Bit sceptical about purchasing the MP Jaguar but £350 seemed too good a deal to pass on, great service from Andertons yet again and took delivery of the bass the next day, bass does not come with a case but was delivered in a secure cardboard type padded box adorned with the "F" logo, on opening the bass was well packaged , removed all wrapping and gave the bass a good look over, very, very impressed, not a mark on it and everything as it should be, the finish and workmanship are superb, the neck is stunning and looks a lot better in person than it does in any pictures I looked at, nice vintage gloss finish, the action was pretty good straight out the box so no adjustments made, the stock strings are pretty good too (Fender NPS) , quick tune and it was time to have play around, played un amped 1st and sounds good, then plugged into my Crate BT15 and she sounds great, J pup gives that nice poppy jazz twang, P pup gives a nice warm deep precision sound, mix them together and it booms, overall very impressed with the MP Jaguar and would recommend for anybody looking for a good entry level "Fender" bass!
