Tailor degrees of damping and attack without removing the head or reaching inside the drum. The EMAD is a 10mil single-ply with two interchangeable damping rings that maximize attack and low-end.

After years of using felt strips, pillows, soft toys stuffed between the pedal and head and all manner of other methods I finally decided to cave in and try one of these new-fangled pre-muffled heads.

And I'm glad I did! It only took about 10 minutes of tuning to get my kick to the 'zone' with a nice meaty THUD but not sounding like a cardboard box. It comes with 2 thickness's of muffling ring you can change out in about 5 seconds for a different tone.

No more pillows in the drum for me, let the shell breathe!

I own 2 of these on different bass drums and I have to say the improvement to the sound with this head is massive. I get a nice tight low end thump with just enough attack and click. I always keep coming back to this head for the best bass drum sound. The quality and consistency with evans is evident and they kindly throw in a free eq patch. I also really like the aquarian super-kick II but it is too quiet. This is the head you want for live, studio or just at home to make that big improvement to your kick sound.

This is easily the best kick drum head on the market, I have used the head with and without triggers it gives such a nice sound with definition in every stroke even when playing quickly.

Having Just Bought This Product From Another Shop, Working Out More Expensive, Because My Bass Head Broke Before A Gig, I Have To Say, That At The Andertons Price Of £38.99, This Is Probably The Best Value Head For The Price. I Put My New One On About 2 Days Ago, And As Soon As I Did, I Knew It Was An Amazing Sound. Opting For The Larger Of The 2 Foam Rings, For Dampening (Included) And Sticking On The Evans PATCH (Also Included) The Sound I Got Was Like No Other Live Drum I Had Ever Heard. It Actually Sounded Like I Had Recorded The Drum From A CD, And Set Mine As A Trigger. The Sound I Got Could be Closely Matched To The Sound On Heard On Bring Me THe Horizon's Track: Death Breath. This Was The Sound I Had Been Looking For, For Ages. And That Was From A Quick Replacement. I Didn't Even Tune It Properly.

If You Are Looking For A New Bass Drum Head, I Strongly Suggest You Get This One, You Will Not Regret It. As they Say, It Was A 'Sound' Investment. :)
